Megan grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Throughout her school years, she devoted much of her time to gymnastics and later pole vaulted for the high school track team. Megan has always been an avid reader, rarely allowing much to keep her from finishing the book. Although her playlists can be quite eclectic, her love of the "oldies" dates back to at least middle school. In her free time, when she isn't reading, Megan enjoys arts & crafts and learning ballet. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin—Madison.

Growing up in Bethesda, Maryland, Joseph (Joe) was active in swimming and boy scouts. An Eagle Scout, he has always enjoyed tinkering (in the kitchen, car, yard, electronics...) Joe can often be found on his computer, whether it is coding, designing websites, or flying planes on Google Earth. He enjoys driving, reading tech blogs, and discussing politics. Joe is currently finishing a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Utah.

Joe and Megan met at the University of Oklahoma, where they both earned B.S. degrees in Meteorology. Although they began as friends from classes, they went on their first date in the summer of 2008. They managed to take breaks from their studies to attend all of the Oklahoma football games.

After enduring more than 2 years long distance, Joe and Megan currently live together in Madison, WI. In true meteorologist fashion, they have an anemometer on their balcony. They both enjoy trivia, often spending considerable time on wikipedia and/or sporcle. Thankfully, Joe and Megan share a similar sense of humor. Together, they enjoy watching classic sci-fi, traveling, and observing the shenanigans of their cat, Elmo. (Yes, he is the most adorable cat you've ever seen.)
